TOGO: SACKEY RELAUNCHES IN STOCKPORT
Exciting news has been unveiled on the official website of Stockport Sports, announcing the signing of Togolese international footballer, Donaldson Sackey. The club expresses great enthusiasm about acquiring the 23-year-old player, highlighting his valuable experience gained from participating in various European matches.
Donaldson Nukunu Sackey, a striker for the Togolese national team, the Eperviers, who boasts one international appearance in a friendly against Ghana, recently concluded his contract with Forest Green Rovers in the Blue Square league in England. The young talent is poised to embark on a new chapter in his career with Stockport Sport FC, competing in the North West Counties League.
Despite receiving more lucrative offers from other clubs, Sackey has prioritized the allure of sporting opportunities and has expressed a desire to further advance his skills in English football. Notably, Sackey underwent a trial with Tottenham Hotspurs last year, a club where his compatriot Emmanuel Sheyi Adebayor plays. In his latest venture, Sackey will be under the guidance of former Aston Villa legend Peter Withe, the sole scorer in the 1982 European Cup final against Bayern Munich. This move represents another significant step in Sackey’s football journey as he continues to progress in his career.
