The 2013 Peace Trophy has been awarded to the President of the Republic of Togo, Faure Gnassingbé. This prestigious award, presented by the Issa Hayatou foundation, is bestowed upon individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to peace in their country and beyond, as well as making significant contributions to their region and the African continent as a whole.
