Togo Completes National Team Technical Staff Ahead of AFCON 2015 Campaign
The Togo national football team has officially finalised its technical staff lineup, solidifying preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2015 qualifiers. Head coach Tchanilé Tchakala, appointed in June and formally contracted in July 2014, now has a full team of support personnel as the Hawks aim to revive their continental ambitions.
Maurice Noussoudjin, coach of Foadan de Dapaong, has been confirmed as Tchakala’s assistant. He already featured on the bench during the first two qualification matches, providing continuity within the setup. He replaces Dirk Staelens, who had been involved during the preparatory phase.
The physical training department sees the arrival of Teraence Eben, stepping in to oversee the squad’s fitness regime. Goalkeeping duties will be managed by Apedo Mawuena, previously in charge of the junior and cadet national teams. He replaces Assogba Yaovi.
One of the more technical roles goes to Ngeubou Elvis, who will handle video analysis, IT, and administrative duties. Often described as the team’s “jack-of-all-trades,” Elvis is expected to play a key role in tactical preparation and match review.
Off the pitch, medical responsibilities are in the hands of Dr. Kouvahey Damien, supported by physiotherapist Amevor Kodjo. Logistics and team coordination will be managed by Daniel Dolayi, the designated steward.
This completed staff structure is seen as a crucial step in ensuring the Hawks are fully prepared for the challenges ahead. Coach Tchakala, tasked with steering Togo through a tough qualifying campaign, now has the necessary framework to implement his vision both tactically and operationally.
