ADAM FAZAZI APPOINTED HEAD COACH OF TOGO’S LOCAL NATIONAL TEAM FOR UEMOA TOURNAMENT
Adam Fazazi has officially been named head coach of Togo’s local national team, the Éperviers A’, for the upcoming UEMOA Tournament, scheduled to take place in Lomé from November 22 to 29. The appointment, confirmed by sources close to the Togolese Football Federation (FTF) and local media, brings clarity amid previous uncertainty surrounding the competition’s organization.
Fazazi is a familiar and respected figure in Togolese and African football. The current Maranatha FC manager recently led Togo’s U20 team, the Junior Hawks, and is credited with a stunning 4-2 away win over Morocco in Rabat during the AFCON U20 qualifiers, despite a 2-0 first-leg defeat at home.
His deep knowledge of the local football scene makes him a logical choice for the role. Fazazi previously served as assistant to Tchanilé Tchakala during the UFOA and UEMOA tournaments last year and has managed top Togolese clubs like Anges de Notsè and ASKO de Kara. A graduate of a coaching program in Germany, Fazazi brings both technical know-how and valuable tournament experience to the Éperviers A’.
With the UEMOA tournament fast approaching, Togo will be looking to capitalize on Fazazi’s leadership and familiarity with the local talent to make a strong impression on home soil.
