Nigeria midfielder Tochukwu Nnadi is being strongly linked with a move from Zulte Waregem to Ligue 1 side Marseille, with the switch currently rated at a 97% probability according to transfer data.

The 22-year-old defensive midfielder, valued at around €2.00m, is the subject of mounting speculation after a rapid rise in his estimated market worth over the past year at the Belgian club. Data from Transfermarkt indicates his value has climbed from €400,000 in April 2025 to €2.00m by December 2025, placing him firmly on the radar of higher-profile European sides.

Nnadi is currently contracted to Zulte Waregem, but with no public information on the length of his deal, observers have suggested he could become a relatively affordable option or even a potential free agent in the near future, further fuelling rumours of a move to the Stade Vélodrome. The link would see him swap the Jupiler Pro League for France’s top division, where Marseille continue to refresh their midfield options.

The right-footed midfielder, who stands at 1.76m, has built a reputation as a specialist in the holding role, offering protection in front of the back four. His progression has been steady since arriving in Europe, moving from Botev Plovdiv II to Botev Plovdiv’s first team in Bulgaria’s top flight before joining Zulte Waregem in January 2024.

Nnadi’s development has been reflected not only in his market value history – which started at €10,000 with Botev Plovdiv II in 2021 – but also in his growing influence in Belgium, where recent performances have underpinned interest from abroad. The Nigerian’s background, pathway through Bulgarian football and emergence in the Belgian league make him a relatively low-cost, low-risk target for a club of Marseille’s stature.

Should the move materialise, it would represent a significant step up for Nnadi and could prove a pivotal moment in his career, offering a platform in Ligue 1 to enhance his reputation and test his potential at a higher competitive level.
