American forward of Liberian descent, Timothy Weah, has arrived in Marseille ahead of his proposed move to Olympique Marseille from Juventus.
This comes after Africasoccer reported over the weekend that the attacker will be leaving Juventus this summer.
Weah, a Ligue 1 winner with Paris Saint-Germain and Lille OSC, is joining Olympique Marseille on a season-long loan with a mandatory purchase option included in the deal.
Despite interest from other clubs, Weah prioritises a return to France.
Having reached an agreement for the loan signing of Weah, the French giants will pay a fee for the American’s loan deal, whilst the deal will also include the option to make the move permanent for €14m plus €3m worth of bonuses.
Weah is expected to fill the void left by Luis Henrique following his move to Italian giants Internazionale Milan.
Known for his versatility, the 25-year-old is expected to solidify Marseille’s squad for the upcoming 2025/26 football campaign.
The winger has made 44 appearances for the USA national team since making his debut in 2018, racking up seven goals across the period.
