Timo Mba: Equatorial Guinea-Spain forward joins CD Alfaro on free transfer

Equatorial Guinea-Spanish striker Timo Mba has joined CD Alfaro on a free transfer from Villegas, signing a deal that runs until 30 June 2027. The 28-year-old centre-forward becomes one of the latest additions to the Spanish side’s attack as they shape their squad for the 2026-27 campaign.

Mba arrives in Alfaro after a year with Villegas, whom he also joined on a free transfer in August 2025. His move continues a career spent largely in Spanish football, with the forward operating primarily through the middle in the number nine role and standing at 1.88m tall.

Before his spell at Villegas, Mba played for CF Alovera, having moved there from San Fernando in 2024. That switch followed a stint abroad with German side FC Bad Durrheim, where he featured in the SBFV-Rothaus-Pokal and gained experience in the regional cup competition. Earlier in his career he turned out for Villaverde CF, EF Concepcion, RSD Alcala B and Complutense, steadily working his way through the lower tiers.

Right-footed and experienced across several regional leagues, Mba brings a track record of adapting to new environments, with a series of free transfers marking his progress over the past few seasons. His dual Equatorial Guinean and Spanish nationality also underlines his familiarity with the domestic game and its demands.

Mba’s contract with CD Alfaro runs to the summer of 2027, confirming a long-term commitment between the club and the centre-forward following his free transfer from Villegas.
