Tiémoué Bakayoko in Monaco’s Sights Amid Stiff Competition
AS Monaco is reportedly keen on signing 19-year-old Stade Rennais midfielder Tiémoué Bakayoko, who impressed during the 2013-14 Ligue 1 season with 24 appearances and one goal, according to L’Equipe.
The young midfielder has attracted interest for his potential, but Rennes remain reluctant to part with their promising talent easily. The Breton club, aware of Bakayoko’s value and contract running until 2017, are reportedly demanding a €10 million transfer fee — a figure that could deter Monaco.
Adding to the competition, Liverpool is also reportedly tracking Bakayoko, suggesting a busy summer ahead for the young French midfielder.
