Teenage sensation Tidiam Gomis is quickly becoming one of the hottest prospects in European football.
The 18-year-old French-Senegalese winger from Ligue 2 club Caen is drawing significant attention, with Premier League side Aston Villa actively pursuing his signature. According to L’Équipe journalist Loïc Tanzi, Villa has initiated negotiations to secure Gomis, whose contract with Caen expires in June 2025.
Gomis has already made 19 appearances this season, contributing two goals and two assists for the Normandy-based club. However, Villa faces stiff competition from Bundesliga giants RB Leipzig and Serie A powerhouse AC Milan, as reported by Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg.
This interest comes amid turbulence at Caen, where majority owner Kylian Mbappé’s management has struggled to deliver on early promotion ambitions. The club languishes in 16th place in Ligue 2, fueling speculation about Gomis’ departure.
With discussions intensifying, a winter transfer or a free summer move appears likely for the French U19 international, setting the stage for a fierce battle among Europe’s elite.
