Throne Cup Round of 32 Draw: Wydad vs Beni Mellal, Raja to face Chabab Al Massira
The Competitions Committee of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation has conducted the draw for the Round of 32 of the Moroccan Throne Cup, held on Tuesday at the Mohammed VI Football Complex.
The draw produced several interesting matchups, with top-flight clubs set to face lower-division and amateur sides as the competition enters an exciting knockout stage.
Wydad AC have been paired with second division side Raja Beni Mellal in what is expected to be a tricky away fixture. Meanwhile, city rivals Raja CA will take on Chabab Al Massira, also from the second division.
Defending ambitions continue for other major clubs as well, with AS FAR Rabat drawn against Stade Marocain in another notable clash of the round.
FUS Rabat face a potentially tricky away tie against amateur side Al-Rashad Al-Barnoussi, while RS Berkane will host Wydad de Fès from the second division.
Elsewhere, a standout fixture sees KAC Kénitra take on IR Tanger, a tie expected to be closely contested.
Union Sportive Yaacoub El Mansour will meet Maghreb de Fès, while US Touarga have been drawn against Fath Nador.
The Round of 32 promises intense competition as clubs from different divisions battle for a place in the next stage of Morocco’s historic cup tournament.
