Thomas Partey has praised his Arsenal teammate, Ethan Nwaneri, after the young forward’s standout performance against Brighton & Hove Albion.
The 17-year-old marked his second consecutive Premier League start, scoring a brilliant goal in the first half to give Arsenal the lead. However, Joao Pedro converted a penalty to level the score, ending the match 1-1 at the AMEX Stadium on Saturday.
After the game, Partey expressed his admiration for Nwaneri, noting that the teenager continues to improve with each experience in the Premier League.
“Ethan is a very talented player, and we all know the qualities he brings,” Partey said to the club’s website. “He’s working hard and constantly growing. I’m really happy for him to have scored today. It would have been even better if we had secured the win, but we’ll take the draw.”
He continued, “He just needs to keep progressing, and I wish him all the best.”
Nwaneri has scored five goals for Arsenal so far this season.
