Thiemoko Diarra: Mali winger joins Kasimpasa from Reims in €1.5m deal
Mali winger Thiemoko Diarra has joined Turkish Super Lig side Kasimpasa from Stade Reims in a permanent transfer worth €1.5m.
The 23-year-old right-sided attacker leaves the French club for his first spell in Turkish football, moving after Reims promoted him from their B team to the senior squad last season. Diarra, who was born in Bamako and stands at 1.76m, is a right-footed winger and arrives with experience across French and Israeli football.
Diarra’s switch comes on the back of a steady rise through the French system and a productive spell abroad. He previously played in Ligue 2 and the French lower divisions, making more than 90 appearances across National 1, National 2 and National 3, and featured in the Coupe de France.
The winger also spent time in Israel with Hapoel Haifa, where he played in the Ligat ha’Al and its championship round, scoring six league goals and contributing four assists across 30 appearances in the top flight and play-offs.
Diarra began his professional journey in Europe with Derby Acad. before joining Reims’ B team in 2021. Loan spells at LB Chateauroux and Hapoel Haifa followed, before he was integrated into Reims’ senior set-up in 2025.
Kasimpasa have now secured Diarra on a full transfer, with the move completed on 16 July 2026 for a fee in line with his current €1.5m market valuation.
