There is no doubt Mohamed Salah is a world-class player – Peter Crouch
Peter Crouch believes talk of Mohamed Salah leaving Liverpool this summer is premature and unfair on a player he still sees operating at the very top level.
The former Reds striker is convinced Salah has more to give at Anfield, even as speculation grows with just a year left on his contract.
Salah’s numbers have dipped compared to last season, with seven goals and eight assists so far, a clear contrast to the remarkable 57 goal contributions he produced in the previous campaign.
Despite that, Crouch feels context matters, pointing to the transition under new manager Arne Slot and the natural ebbs and flows in form over a long career.
“There’s no doubt he’s a world-class player, and I’d like to see him still at Liverpool next season,” Crouch told Paddy Power. “I think he’s still got unfinished business; he won’t want to go out like this with the season he’s having.”
Crouch also highlighted Salah’s professionalism, noting how he returned from the Africa Cup of Nations fit, focused and ready to play 90 minutes after just one training session, a sign that his standards and commitment remain as high as ever.
