West Ham United forward Mohammed Kudus has shared that there’s a fresh sense of energy among the team following Graham Potter’s appointment as head coach.

Potter, who previously managed Chelsea and Brighton, took over after Julen Lopetegui was dismissed just 20 games into his tenure.

Since Potter’s arrival, West Ham have secured only one victory in four matches. However, Kudus has urged his teammates to step up their performance.

“He has high expectations,” Kudus told SkySports. “Even though he’s only been here a short time, we can already feel the energy as players.”

“To be honest, it’s similar to what we experienced under the previous manager—there’s always pressure to deliver. The challenge is aligning with his system, and although we don’t have much time, adapting to a new way of playing takes time. Fans want results quickly, but we need time to settle in,” he added.

After a 1-1 draw with Aston Villa, West Ham will face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge next Monday.
