The Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) has taken a significant step in enhancing the broadcast of Ligue 1 by acquiring audio-visual production equipment. With this development, the FIF will now have exclusive control over the marketing and television rights for the championship.
In collaboration with a Swiss company specializing in television rights, the Ivorian Federation has entered into a 5-year contract covering all international competitions. As part of this agreement, four matches, including two live broadcasts, will be scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays. The first national television channel will air these matches, and private radio stations intending to provide live coverage must obtain “FIF Production” authorizations. Additionally, foreign channels based in Ivory Coast are not permitted to broadcast the matches, ensuring that the FIF maintains control over the television rights for Ligue 1 in the country.
