Algerian coach Vahid Halilhodzic is planning to negotiate a possible training camp in South Africa during his visit to attend the draw for the 29th Africa Cup of Nations (CAN). Halilhodzic aims to inspect potential training sites for the Fennecs before the competition starts on January 19. The Algerian Football Federation, led by President Mohamed Raouraoua, is looking to avoid training in Europe to help players acclimate better. The federation prefers to draw from the experience of the 2010 World Cup when training in Europe didn’t yield favorable results for the Algerian team.
