The first Jules François Bocandé Memorial, initially scheduled to take place at the end of May until June 20, has been postponed to December. The announcement was made by Thierno Seydi, a players’ agent and friend of Jules François Bocandé, who is also a member of the organizing committee for the memorial. The decision to postpone the event was influenced by the unavailability of invited internationals, including Samuel Eto’o, Didier Drogba, Emmanuel Adebayor, among others, due to World Cup qualifiers and team regroupings on the continent scheduled between June 8 and 15. The memorial will now likely take place during the Christmas break.
