Former Morocco goalkeeper Abdelkader El Brazi has passed away at the age of 49 after battling cancer. El Brazi, who played for AS FAR de Rabat and the national team, died on Friday in a clinic in Rabat. Born in Berkane, he earned 36 caps during his career. He represented Morocco in the 1998 World Cup and was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. King Mohammed VI personally covered the costs of his hospitalization and medical treatments. El Brazi played a crucial role in winning the Moroccan championship title during the 1988-1989 season with FAR in Rabat.
