Nigeria, led by coach Stephen Keshi and coming off a victory in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), is considered a strong contender. Other teams, such as Ghana, who also qualified for the World Cup in Brazil, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, coached by Muntunbile Santos, are expected to compete fiercely. Gordon Ingesund’s South Africa is also among the teams to watch. The groups are as follows:

  • Group A: South Africa, Mozambique, Nigeria, Mali.
  • Group B: Zimbabwe, Uganda, Burkina Faso, Morocco.
  • Group C: Ghana, Libya, Ethiopia, Congo.
  • Group D: DR Congo, Gabon, Burundi, Mauritania.
