The African Nations Football Championship (CHAN) is set to begin on Saturday, January 11, 2014, in South Africa. The tournament features 16 teams divided into four groups. Nigeria, led by coach Stephen Keshi and coming off a victory in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), is considered a strong contender. Gordon Ingesund’s South Africa is also among the teams to watch. The groups are as follows:
- Group A: South Africa, Mozambique, Nigeria, Mali.
- Group B: Zimbabwe, Uganda, Burkina Faso, Morocco.
- Group C: Ghana, Libya, Ethiopia, Congo.
- Group D: DR Congo, Gabon, Burundi, Mauritania.
