Terem Moffi: Hamburg consider move for Nice and Nigeria striker

Terem Moffi, the Nigeria forward currently with Nice, has been linked with a move to Bundesliga club Hamburg.

Moffi, 27, returned to Nice after spending the second half of the 2025-26 season on loan at Porto. He joined the Portuguese club in January and helped them win the Portuguese championship before returning to France when the loan ended on 30 June.

The striker has a contract with Nice until 30 June 2027 and is valued at €8m. No transfer fee has been reported for a possible move to Hamburg.

Moffi joined Nice from Lorient in July 2023 in a deal worth €22.5m, having initially moved to the club on loan earlier that year. He has since recorded 54 goals in 148 Ligue 1 appearances.

The proposed transfer remains at the rumour stage, with the likelihood of a move currently listed at 29%. There has been no confirmation from either club that an agreement has been reached.

Moffi’s previous experience in Germany’s top flight is not recorded in his career history, which also includes spells with Porto, Lorient, Kortrijk and Lithuanian side Riteriai. His current contract means Nice would not be facing the prospect of losing him as a free agent next summer.
