Tebas challenges Real Madrid over €7.5m in transfers to company linked to him

Javier Tebas has launched another sharp criticism of Real Madrid, questioning the club’s past payments to Audio Visual New Age, a company linked to the La Liga president.

Tebas made the comments on social media after responding to a post on X that shared a video from Real Madrid TV. The video referred to a document concerning Barcelona and a €4.5m loan to Audio Visual New Age.

The company is linked to Tebas, who used his response to draw attention to previous transactions between Real Madrid and the same business.

Tebas said he had documents showing the payments and published two examples of transfers made by Real Madrid.

“I have attached two examples of transfers from Real Madrid to Audio Visual New Age,” Tebas wrote.

“Between 2011 and 2013, the club’s total transfers to this company amounted to €7,513,333.55. Yes, to the same company in which Barcelona had a stake. How surprising!”

His comments focused on the contrast between Real Madrid’s scrutiny of Barcelona’s financial dealings and the Madrid club’s own past transactions with Audio Visual New Age.

Tebas also called for explanations from two people he associated with Real Madrid, asking them to clarify why the payments were made and what they were intended for.

“Ask JAS and Chetin del Valle why those transfers were made and what their purpose was,” he wrote.

“Chetin should also explain the email dated 9 May 2018, and who gave him the instructions to write it.”

The La Liga president then went further by calling for the documents to be sent to Real Madrid so the club could respond publicly once again.

“Send them the documents, Adrian, and ask them to publish another video,” Tebas said.

“This time, they should explain what they are hiding. To be continued… Enough lies and manipulation…”

Tebas’s latest intervention was made directly through social media rather than through a formal statement. His response centred on the financial relationship between Real Madrid and Audio Visual New Age, while also raising questions about an email from 9 May 2018 and the individuals he named.

The exchange followed the publication of Real Madrid TV’s video about Barcelona’s €4.5m loan to the company. Tebas’s reply redirected attention towards Real Madrid’s own payments, which he said totalled €7,513,333.55 over the period from 2011 to 2013.
