Tayeb Meziani: Algeria winger joins Al-Riffa SC on free transfer from Qadsia SC

Algeria winger Tayeb Meziani has joined Bahraini side Al‐Riffa SC on a free transfer from Kuwait’s Qadsia SC. The 30-year-old right winger makes the move after leaving the Kuwaiti club, switching within the Gulf region as he enters the next stage of his career.

Meziani strengthens an Al‐Riffa squad competing in Bahrain’s top tier, adding experience and attacking depth on the flanks. The deal was completed on 19 July 2026, with the Algerian arriving as a free agent after his spell with Qadsia came to an end.

Primarily deployed as a right winger, Meziani is expected to offer width and creativity from wide areas for his new club. His move also underlines Al‐Riffa’s intent to utilise the foreign-player market to bolster their attacking options.

The Algerian’s market value is currently assessed at around €225,000, reflecting his standing as an established professional in regional football. His transfer continues a career that has taken him across different leagues, with this latest switch keeping him in the Middle East.
