Tarek Mostafa, the former coach of Olympic Safi, holds the Safi management responsible for his resorting to FIFA’s Dispute Resolution Chamber and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
Mostafa stated in a press release, “I tried to communicate with several members of the club to settle the issue amicably, but my request was met with procrastination and delay.”
The Egyptian coach added, “I did not betray the trust, and I waited for a long time taking into account the president’s situation due to his personal problems, but no member of the board understood my situation, so I chose to take legal action to defend my rights.”
A Safi source, speaking to “Parliament Sport,” confirmed that Tarek Mostafa had agreed with the management to receive the amount awarded by FIFA, but he reneged on his promise and turned to the CAS, indicating that the management is open to resolving the dispute with their former coach in a friendly manner.
