Taoufik Ijrouten: Morocco winger joins Widad Temara on free transfer from Kenitra

Moroccan right winger Taoufik Ijrouten has joined Botola Pro side Widad Temara on a free transfer from Kenitra. The 36-year-old Casablanca-born attacker makes the move after a short spell back at Kenitra, having re-signed for the club in January.

Ijrouten, a right-footed wide forward, arrives in Temara with extensive top-flight experience in Morocco and abroad. Across his career he has made more than 200 appearances in the Botola Pro, scoring 30 goals and contributing 13 assists, as well as featuring in domestic cup and continental competition.

The veteran’s return to Kenitra earlier in the 2025-26 campaign also came without a fee, following a move from Wydad Fes. His latest switch continues a career that has seen him become a familiar figure in Moroccan football, with earlier spells at clubs including Wydad AC, AS FAR Rabat, RS Berkane, Ittihad Tanger and Moghreb Tetouan, plus a stint in Saudi Arabia with Al-Shoulla in the First Division League.

Ijrouten has played in the Coupe du Trone and CAF Confederation Cup, adding to his reputation as an experienced option in attacking areas. His league record includes nearly 15,000 minutes on the pitch, underlining his durability over multiple seasons at the top level.

The move sees Widad Temara add a seasoned right winger to their Botola Pro squad, with Ijrouten joining the club after leaving Kenitra on a free transfer.
