Tanzanian giants Simba SC have completed the signing of South African midfielder Neo Maema in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The 29-year-old joins Simba SC as a free agent following his departure from Mamelodi Sundowns at the end of the 2024/25 football campaign.
Maema becomes the second ex-Sundowns player to move to Simba following Rashine De Reuck’s arrival last month.
The experienced midfielder joined the Brazilians from fellow South African club Royal AM in 2021 and established himself as a key member of the team.
During his four-year spell at the club, the experienced midfielder made 120 appearances for the club, scoring 13 goals and providing 14 assists.
Neoma contributed significantly for Sundowns, winning a total of seven titles including four Premier League titles.
Neoma has had stint with Bloemfontein Celtic FC, Royal AM and Mamelodi Sundowns in his entire career and is now set to join his fourth club.
The midfielder has made only three appearances for the South African national team, scoring two goals in the process.
With his wealth of experience, he is expected to contribute significant to Simba SC as they aim to make impact this season.
