The President of the Tanzanian Football Federation, Wallace Karia, has expressed disapproval of the statements made by the coach of the national team, Algerian Adel Amrouche.
In these remarks, Amrouche accused the Royal Moroccan Football Federation of manipulating the African Confederation.
Karia, in a press statement, remarked, “Amrouche’s words do not represent Tanzania and only reflect his personal views.
The local football federation respects Morocco’s efforts to enhance African football.”
The spokesperson clarified that they do not endorse Amrouche’s statements and emphasized that the Tanzanian Football Federation maintains good relations with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation.
He stated that the Algerian coach’s comments have no bearing on the Tanzanian Football Federation’s perspective on the game.
Amrouche had provoked Morocco with claims that “the Royal Moroccan Football Federation controls the intricacies of African football, including scheduling matches and selecting referees.”
Karia dismissed these allegations, underlining that the Tanzanian Football Federation dissociates itself from such assertions.
He highlighted the cooperative relationship with the Moroccan counterpart, emphasizing the mutual respect between the two football entities.
This response from Tanzanian football authorities underscores the commitment to sportsmanship and diplomacy, refusing to be drawn into unnecessary disputes.
The focus remains on fostering positive collaboration among African football nations for the betterment of the sport across the continent.
