Former Ghanaian international and “African Player of the Year” Abedi Pelé is visiting Dar es Salaam to share his experience with Tanzanian football. Abedi Pelé, known for his successful career, including playing for Marseille, will spend two days in the Tanzanian capital. Accompanying him is Ashford Mamelodi, FIFA Development Officer for East and South Africa.
During his visit, Abedi Pelé went to the Tanzanian Football Federation (FTT) training center and attended a session with the Tanzanian youth team, the Serengeti Boys. The team is preparing for the qualifying matches for the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) in their category. Abedi Pelé shared words of advice with the young players, emphasizing the importance of hard work and determination for success.
