Tanzania defender Edward Charles Manyama linked with TRA United move

Edward Charles Manyama, the Tanzania centre-back currently with Azam FC, has been linked with a move to fellow Tanzanian club TRA United.

Manyama, 32, joined Azam from Singida SC on 12 August 2025 and has featured in the CAF Confederation Cup this season, making seven appearances and scoring once.

The defender previously played for Azam before moving to Singida in July 2024, returning to the club after one season away. His latest proposed move would therefore represent another change within Tanzanian football, although the rumour has not been confirmed.

Manyama’s recorded involvement for Azam in continental competition amounts to 630 minutes, with his goal coming at a rate of one every 630 minutes. He has been listed as a left-footed centre-back.

TRA United are the club currently linked with the player, but no transfer fee or contract terms have been reported. There is also no stated probability attached to the proposed move.

Manyama was born in Tabora and holds Tanzanian nationality. His current club remains Azam FC, where he is registered as a defender.
