Ittihad Tangier’s president, Nasrallah Kartit, has shared how Abdelhamid Maali’s ambition played a central role in his transfer to Egyptian giants Zamalek.
Speaking in a recent television interview, Kartit said the young forward had his heart set on joining Zamalek, despite interest from both Moroccan and European clubs. His strong desire to wear the white shirt was the turning point that made the deal possible.
“Maali is a talented player with a skillful style,” Kartit said, praising the rising star’s progress through Morocco’s youth system. “I expect him to become Zamalek’s best player in a short time.”
The Tangier president believes Maali’s potential could see him feature in the upcoming Under-20 World Cup, boosting Zamalek’s attacking strength. He also denied rumors about a $300,000 release clause in the player’s contract.
Kartit emphasized the strong relationship between Zamalek and Ittihad Tangier, which helped finalize the transfer smoothly. For Maali, this move marks the beginning of a journey he hopes will lead to greater heights in his football career.
