Tamble has completed a permanent move from Portimonense to Rio Ave in a deal worth €2.00m, signing a contract that runs from 2026-02-02 to 2029-06-30. The 25-year-old centre-forward, who holds dual nationality with Guinea-Bissau and Portugal, joins the Liga Portugal side with a current market value listed at €750k, marking a significant investment by the Vila do Conde club.
The transfer sees Tamble step up from Liga Portugal 2 to the Portuguese top flight, with Rio Ave securing one of the second tier’s fastest-rising attacking profiles. The move is confirmed as a standard, permanent transfer from Portimonense SAD to Rio Ave FC, with no indication in the registration data of any loan clauses or options attached.
Born in Coimbra and standing at 1.91m, Tamble has developed into a central striker who operates as an out-and-out centre-forward, favouring his right foot. His rise in value at Portimonense has been rapid: from €200k in early 2024 to €450k by mid-2025, and finally up to €750k by the end of that year, a trajectory that underlines why Rio Ave were prepared to pay a premium above his quoted market valuation.
The deal also alters the contract landscape at Portimonense. With Tamble now off their books and no contract expiry date listed for his Rio Ave stint beyond the agreed end of 2029-06-30, the next potential free-agent scenario in his career would only arise at the conclusion of this new agreement, should the club choose not to renew.
Tamble’s path to the top division has been gradual but steady, entirely within Portuguese football. After emerging in the Académica youth system, he progressed through Académica U15 and U17 before moving to UC Eirense U19 and then the senior UC Eirense side. Subsequent spells at Anadia FC, SC São João de Ver and FC Felgueiras 1932 built his experience in Portugal’s lower divisions, culminating in his jump to Portimonense in the 2023–24 season and now this move to Rio Ave.
For Rio Ave, the signing adds height, physical presence and a penalty-box reference point to their attack as they navigate Liga Portugal. For Tamble, it is a confirmed elevation from the second tier into a top-flight environment in Portugal, away from his home nation of Guinea-Bissau but still within the country of his birth and football education.
With his prime years ahead and a long-term deal secured, this transfer has the potential to shape Tamble’s career decisively. A successful spell at Rio Ave could consolidate his reputation in Liga Portugal and open further opportunities domestically or abroad once his contract approaches its end on 2029-06-30.
