Tahir Maigana: Zalaegerszeg sign 18-year-old Nigerian winger from Wireless FC

Zalaegerszeg have completed the signing of Nigerian right winger Tahir Maigana from Wireless FC, with the 18-year-old moving to the Hungarian NB I side on a permanent transfer.

Maigana, born on 30 June 2008, joins the Zalaegerszeg first-team squad as an attacking option on the right flank. A left-footed winger standing at 1.67m, he arrives from Nigerian club Wireless FC to continue his development in Hungarys top division.

The move marks Maiganas first transfer into European league football, following his progression in Nigeria. He is listed primarily as a right winger, operating in attack, and adds depth in wide areas for Zalaegerszeg with his natural preference to cut in from the flank on his stronger foot.

Maigana is currently valued at 50,000, reflecting an upward trajectory in his estimated market worth since September 2025. His switch from Wireless FC to Zalaegerszeg is registered for the 2026-27 season, aligning him with the club ahead of the new NB I campaign.

The Nigeria youth prospect now begins his career in Hungary with Zalaegerszeg after leaving Wireless FC for his first move abroad.
