Taha Messaoudi: Tunisia defender joins Stade Gabesien on a free transfer
Tunisia left-back Taha Messaoudi has joined Stade Gabesien from CS Redeyef on a free transfer, strengthening the club’s defensive options ahead of the 2026-27 season.
The 28-year-old completed the move on 31 July 2026 and has signed a contract with Stade Gabesien running until 30 June 2028. Messaoudi’s arrival represents his latest change of club in Tunisian football after one season with CS Redeyef.
Messaoudi made the switch to CS Redeyef from EO Sidi Bouzid on 14 September 2025, also as a free transfer. He had previously spent the 2024-25 campaign with EO Sidi Bouzid after leaving AS Jelma, while his time at AS Jelma followed a move from LPS Tozeur in August 2023.
The defender’s career has taken him through several Tunisian clubs. Before joining LPS Tozeur, he played for AS Lalla, moving there from EGS Gafsa in February 2020. His senior career began with EGS Gafsa after he left the USBG under-21 side in July 2019.
Born in Redeyef on 2 March 1998, Messaoudi operates primarily at left-back. His recorded competitive involvement includes one Tunisian Cup appearance, in which he played the full 90 minutes.
The move to Stade Gabesien continues a sequence of transfers in which Messaoudi has moved between Tunisian clubs without a fee. His latest change is the first recorded step in his career to take him to Stade Gabesien, where he is contracted for the next two seasons.
Messaoudi is now a Stade Gabesien player until the end of June 2028.
