In the 11th edition of the African Taekwondo Championships in Antananarivo, Senegalese athlete Bineta Diédhiou secured the gold medal in the 57-kilogram category. Diédhiou, who narrowly missed the gold at the African Games in Maputo, rebounded to win the top honor. She was also recognized as the best fighter in the competition and crowned African champion in the under 57 kg category. Other Senegalese fighters, both men and women, also performed well in the championship. The event continued with the African Team Cup and the African Poomsae Championship.
