Marseille have confirmed that 18-year-old winger Tadjidine Mmadi has signed a new contract that keeps him at the Stade Vélodrome until 2029, reinforcing the club’s faith in one of its brightest academy prospects.
Mmadi first joined OM’s youth setup in the 2020/21 season, starting in the U-13s and steadily rising through the ranks thanks to his pace, close control and intelligence on the ball.
So far, he has made five first‑team appearances, scoring once and providing one assist, underlining his ability to make an impact at senior level despite his age.
Club officials see him as a key part of Marseille’s long‑term project and a symbol of their commitment to nurturing homegrown talent. Mmadi is a product of the youth academies of AS Flamants-Iris, FCL Malpassé and Marseille, reflecting a solid grounding in French football culture.
He made his competitive debut for OM as a substitute in a 1–0 UEFA Champions League defeat to Atalanta on 5 November 2025, a significant milestone in his young career.
Born in France and of Comorian descent, Mmadi also embodies the rich multicultural identity of modern French football and will now look to cement his place in the Marseille first team over the coming seasons.
