Tadiwanashe Chakuchichi: Salzburg eye move for Zimbabwe winger from Scottland FC

Teenage Zimbabwe winger Tadiwanashe Chakuchichi of Scottland FC is being linked with a move to Austrian Bundesliga side Salzburg as the European club monitor his rapid rise in domestic football.

The 17-year-old right winger, who was born in Harare and plays off the right flank on his preferred left foot, has emerged as one of the standout attacking talents at Scottland FC and is now attracting interest from abroad. Salzburg are understood to be assessing a potential deal as they look to add another young wide option to their squad for the coming seasons.

Chakuchichi currently holds a listed market value of around €50,000, a figure that is likely to frame the early stages of any negotiations between the clubs. At 17, he is still in the early stages of his senior career, but his performances for Scottland FC have already pushed him into regular first-team contention.

The winger is tied to Scottland FC without a publicly defined contract end date, leaving the Zimbabwean club in a position to drive a hard bargain if interest from Austria develops into a formal offer. Salzburg’s initial soundings are believed to focus on a permanent transfer rather than a short-term arrangement.

No agreement is in place and discussions remain at a preliminary stage, with Chakuchichi continuing his development at Scottland FC as speculation over a potential switch to Austria gathers pace.
