Sylvester Jasper joins Standard Liege from Zelez. Pancevo for €1m
Bulgaria-Nigeria winger Sylvester Jasper has joined Standard Liege from Serbian side Zelez. Pancevo on a permanent transfer for €1m.
The 24-year-old has signed a contract with the Belgian club until 30 June 2029. Jasper plays on the left wing and is right-footed, giving Standard Liege a new attacking option as they begin their campaign in the Jupiler Pro League.
Jasper moves to Belgium after one season with Zelez. Pancevo, having arrived at the Serbian club from Polish side Slask Wroclaw in July 2025. His latest spell included appearances in both domestic competition and the qualifying rounds of the UEFA Conference League.
He made one league appearance for Zelez. Pancevo during the 2026-27 season, registering one assist. He also played once in the Conference League qualifying rounds, completing 90 minutes in that competition.
Born in London, Jasper represents the footballing identities of both Bulgaria and Nigeria through his listed nationalities. He began his development at Queens Park Rangers’ academy before moving to Fulham’s youth system in 2012.
Jasper progressed through Fulham’s age-group sides and joined Fulham Under-23s from the club’s Under-18 team in 2020. His early senior experience came through loan spells, with Colchester United and Hibernian among the clubs he represented during the 2021-22 season. He later spent time with Bristol Rovers on loan from Fulham Under-23s in the first half of the 2022-23 campaign.
The forward left Fulham for Portimonense in July 2023 on a free transfer. After departing the Portuguese club in August 2024, he joined Slask Wroclaw in October of the same year before moving to Zelez. Pancevo the following summer.
Jasper’s transfer to Standard Liege marks his first move to Belgium and brings his recent Serbian league and European qualifying experience to a club competing in the country’s top flight. His market value is recorded at €1.8m, above the fee paid for his services.
The move was completed on 31 July 2026, with Jasper’s Standard Liege contract running through June 2029.
