Switzerland international of DR Congo descent Denis Zakaria is staying put at AS Monaco after turning down offers from Saudi Arabia.
Whilst the French outfit and Al-Ahli remain in talks over a move for the 28-year-old midfielder, the former Chelsea star has rejected two offers from the Saudi side.
Amid lack of offers for Maghnes Akliouche, Wilfried Singo, Vanderson, Caio Henrique, Breel and Embolo, the French giants intends to transfer Zakaria, who has attracted significant interest this summer.
Despite featuring in their opening game against Le Havre at the weekend, the Principality club are anticipating his departure having identified two potential replacements.
However, the Swiss international has yet to accept a move, rejecting two contract offers from Al-Ahli. Talks between the player and the club remain ongoing.
However, the Gulf State club have also identified alternatives, including Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma.
Zakaria has been in the books of Monaco since 2023, with his current contract expected to expire in summer 2028.
