Tunisia international Seifeddine Jaziri has shared his excitement after inspiring the side to secure a crucial victory against Malawi in the 2026 World Cup qualifier.
The Carthage Eagles left it late, securing a vital 2-0 win over a stubborn Malawi side to tighten their grip at the top of Group H in the qualifiers.
Seifeddine Jaziri climbed off the bench to break Malawi’s resistance with a headed goal in the 86th minute, before Elias Achouri sealed the victory with a stoppage-time penalty.
Jaziri, who plies his trade for Zamalek needed just eight minutes to break the deadlock following his introduction in the 78th minute by Tunisia head coach Sami Trabelsi.
Speaking to Tunisian National Channel, the Zamalek star expressed his joy following the sides’ late victory against Malawi.
“We achieved a distinctive and valuable victory.”
“The victory over Malawi confirmed our superiority and consolidated our lead in the qualifying group. The interests of the Tunisian national team are most important to us all.”
