Nigeria’s Super Falcons midfielder Halimatu Ayinde has taken the next step in her European career, completing a free transfer to Swedish Damallsvenskan champions BK Häcken.
Ayinde joins Häcken after parting ways with FC Rosengård, bringing an end to her spell with the Malmö-based side.
The 30-year-old defensive midfielder now has the opportunity to continue competing at the top level of Swedish women’s football, adding depth and experience to her new team.
A seasoned international, Ayinde boasts a well-traveled career across Europe. She has previously featured for FC Minsk in Belarus and enjoyed stints in Sweden with Asarums IF FK and Eskilstuna United DFF, consistently impressing with her composure, defensive prowess, and midfield intelligence.
With her wealth of experience, Ayinde is expected to play a key role in Häcken’s ambitions both domestically and in European competitions.
