The Super Eagles’ camp in Uyo has begun to fill up with key players ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 qualifier, as seven more players arrived on Tuesday morning. The addition of these top talents has increased the number of players in camp to nine, with more expected to join in the coming days.

Among the latest arrivals at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Uyo are midfielders Frank Onyeka, Raphael Onyedika, and Wilfred Ndidi, as well as forward Victor Boniface.

Samuel Chukwueze, Benjamin Tanimu, and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru have also joined the squad, significantly boosting the Super Eagles’ roster.

Amas Obasogie was the first player to report to camp, followed closely by Stanley Nwabali, the goalkeeper for South African side Chippa United.

With these additions, the team is starting to take shape as they prepare for a crucial AFCON qualifier.

Training is set to officially begin on Wednesday at the practice ground of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.

The session will mark the team’s first on-pitch preparations, and both media and public representatives have been invited to witness the inaugural training.

As the Super Eagles’ training camp continues to welcome players from various leagues around the world, there is a palpable sense of excitement and anticipation.

Fans are eager to see the team at full strength ahead of what promises to be a challenging qualifying campaign.

The influx of players on Tuesday marks an important step in Nigeria’s preparations as they aim to secure a place in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

While the squad is not yet complete, head coach José Peseiro will soon have the majority of his players at his disposal, allowing him to implement his tactical plans.

With the likes of Wilfred Ndidi and Samuel Chukwueze in camp, the Super Eagles possess a blend of experience and young talent.

Ndidi, known for his tenacity and defensive prowess in the midfield, is expected to be a key figure in the team’s qualification campaign.

Chukwueze, with his blistering pace and creative ability on the wings, will also be instrumental as Nigeria looks to assert its dominance in the qualifiers.

More players are anticipated to arrive in Uyo over the next 24 hours, with several key names still yet to report to camp.

The team is scheduled to hold its first full training session, which will be a crucial moment for the squad to gel and adapt to Peseiro’s game plan.

As preparations ramp up, the Super Eagles’ camp is buzzing with optimism and focus.

The upcoming AFCON qualifiers are a pivotal opportunity for Nigeria to reaffirm its status as one of Africa’s football powerhouses.

With the team’s inaugural training session just hours away, all eyes will be on the Super Eagles as they fine-tune their preparations for the journey to AFCON 2025.
