Sundowns handed mixed boost ahead of CAF Champions League final first leg against AS FAR
Mamelodi Sundowns have received a significant selection boost and a key setback ahead of their CAF Champions League final first leg against AS FAR Rabat.
Midfielder Aubrey Modiba is available for selection again after serving a two-match suspension, strengthening Sundowns’ options as they prepare for a crucial home fixture in Tshwane.
However, defender Grant Kekana will miss the encounter after being ruled out through a one-match suspension imposed by CAF, leaving a notable gap in the club’s defensive setup.
The first leg of the final will take place on Sunday, 17 May 2026, at the Sundowns’ home ground in Tshwane, South Africa. Kick-off is scheduled for 16:00 local time (14:00 GMT).
With continental glory on the line, Sundowns will be looking to make full use of home advantage, even as they navigate a key absence in defence.
