Sunderland set to sign Austrian-Ghanaian defender Kevin Danso on loan

Sunderland are closing in on a major defensive reinforcement with Austrian international centre-back Kevin Danso on the verge of completing a move to the Black Cats from Tottenham Hotspur.

The Premier League outfit have reached a full agreement with Danso’s current club over a loan deal that includes a mandatory obligation to make the transfer permanent for a fee of around £25 million.

The 27-year-old is expected to undergo his medical examinations today as Sunderland work to complete the final formalities ahead of the transfer deadline.
