Congolese youngster Noah Sadiki is on the verge of joining newly promoted English Premier League outfit Sunderland in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The Black Cat, who are keen on bolstering their squad for the new football campaign has reached an agreement to snap up the talented midfielder from Belgium champions Union Saint-Gilloise.
Having passed his mandatory medical test, the highly-rated midfielder is expected to sign a contract that will keep him at the Premier League club until summer 20230.
Sadiki, a product of Anderlecht is joining Sunderland for €17 million transfer fee, plus €3 million in bonuses.
With this move, the young Congolese international is expected to continue his development as footballer considering his qualities as a midfielder. He joins Sunderland on the back of an impressive campaign with the Belgian club.
Sadiki made 39 appearances in the Belgian top flight last term, scoring one goal and registering three assists. The talented midfielder will battle it out against compatriot Yoanne Wissa, who plies his trade for fellow Premier League club, Brentford.
Sadiki had attracted interest from Lyon and Wolfsburg, but has opted for a move to the Premier League, viewing it as the best switch.
The midfielder has made four appearances for the DR Congo national team since marking his debut back in September 2024.
