Premier League outfit Sunderland have confirm the acquisition of France international of Congolese descent Nordi Mukiele in the current summer transfer window.
The Black Cats, who secured promotion to the English top-flight last season are strengthening their squad in an attempt to make a meaningful impact in the 2025/26 season.
Mukiele joins Sunderland on a four-year deal from French giants Paris Saint Germain. The Black Cats coughed €12 million to secure the signature of the defender.
Having sealed a move to the Premier League club, Mukiele is expected to contribute significantly to the club as they aim for a successful season.
Sunderland made a brilliant start to the campaign, inflicting a 3-0 win over West Ham United at the Stadium of Light.
The Franco-Congolese defender joined PSG from German outfit RB Leipzig in 2022 for €12 million but failed to secure a regular starting spot, making just 45 appearances for the Parisians and providing 4 assists during his stint.
However, the move offers Mukiele the opportunity to revive his sinking football career at Sunderland.
