Summerville strike named Roshn Saudi League’s best goal of round eight

Crysencio Summerville has been awarded the best goal of the eighth round of the Roshn Saudi League for his goal in Al-Hilal’s 3-2 victory over Al-Ittihad.

The award was announced by the Roshn Saudi League on Wednesday, 18 days after the Saudi Arabian derby was played on 10 October at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh.

Summerville scored Al-Hilal’s third goal in the 64th minute. The Dutch winger beat two Al-Ittihad players before producing a fine finish from inside the penalty area.

Al-Hilal secured all three points in a closely contested match against their traditional rivals, but the announcement of the round’s individual awards was delayed.

The awards were held back until the postponed fixture between Abha and Al-Faisaly was played on Tuesday. That match had to take place before the round eight awards could be confirmed.

Al-Hilal currently lead the Saudi league table with 27 points. They are two points clear of Al-Nassr and Al-Qadsiah, who occupy second and third place respectively, although the eastern side has played one additional match.
