Moroccan international Sufian Bouftini celebrated a monumental victory with Al Wasl as they clinched the UAE President’s Cup, decisively defeating Al Nasr 4-0. This triumph marks Al Wasl’s third title in the prestigious tournament’s history.

The match, held at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain, featured standout performances from both teams, including notable contributions from Moroccan players on either side.

Adil Taarabt represented Al Nasr, while Bouftini showcased his defensive prowess for Al Wasl.

The game began with a balanced tempo, but Al Wasl broke the deadlock just before halftime. Fabio Lima converted a penalty in the 45th minute plus stoppage time, giving Al Wasl a crucial lead heading into the break.

In the second half, Al Wasl continued their dominant display. Lima struck again in the 53rd minute, doubling the advantage for his side.

Swiss forward Haris Seferovic added a third goal in the 64th minute, solidifying Al Wasl’s command of the match.

The onslaught continued with Ali Saleh sealing the victory with a fourth goal in the 81st minute. Al Nasr, despite their efforts and the presence of Taarabt, couldn’t find a way past Al Wasl’s resolute defense, marshaled effectively by Bouftini.
