Sudan extend Kwasi Appiah’s contract until 2028
The Sudanese Football Association (SFA) has confirmed that Kwasi Appiah will remain at the helm of the national team, the Falcons of El-Jadiyan, until 2028.
Appiah, who took charge in September 2023, earned the contract extension after successfully steering Sudan to qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
In an official statement, the SFA said: “Kwasi Abiah continues his journey with the Falcons of El-Jadiyan until 2028. A new step towards a brighter future for Sudan football.”
Appiah, who made history as the first Ghanaian coach to lead the Black Stars to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, now aims to make a strong impression with Sudan at the AFCON, set to kick off in Morocco later this month.
Sudan will face a challenging Group E, drawn alongside Algeria, Burkina Faso, and Equatorial Guinea.
