Sudan and Oman settled for a draw in an international friendly match on Thursday as part of preparation for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualification.
The match, held at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex Stadium in Bousher ended in a goalless draw as both teams struggled to find the back of the net.
Sudan’s game against Oman forms part of their preparation for the crucial World Cup qualifying games against Senegal and South Sudan.
The Falcons of Jediane will face Senegal on March 18 before taking on South Sudan on March 24 in the fifth and sixth rounds of the qualifiers in Group B.
Currently on top in their group, coach Kwesi Appiah and his Sudanese national team will be yearning for positive results to keep their qualification hopes alive.
The Falcons of Jediane currently sit top of Group B with 10 points following their impressive performance in the initial four matches.
For Oman, the game serves as a good preparatory grounds for the 2026 World Cup qualification matches against South Korea and Kuwait on March 20 and 25, in Seoul and Kuwait.
