Head coach of Sudan James Kwesi Appiah has announced his final squad for the crucial 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Senegal and South Sudan.
The Falcons of Jediane will face Senegal on Saturday, March 22 before taking on South Sudan on March 25 in the fifth and sixth rounds of the qualifiers in Group B.
Appiah’s side initially held a 12-day training camp in Saudi Arabia before traveling to face Oman in an international friendly last week.
Following an intense training, the former Black Stars gaffer has settled on his final squad for the two upcoming matches.
The Sudanese national team leads the second group in the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup with 10 points, two points ahead of its closest competitor, Senegal.
Sudan’s squad includes:
Goalkeepers: Mohamed Mostafa – Ali Abu Ashreen – Monjed El Nil – Ahmed Peter.
Defense: El Tayeb Abdel Razek – Mohamed Ahmed Arnaq – Abdel Rahman Koko – Amir Kamal – Ramadan Ajab – Bakhit Khamis – Ahmed Tabanja.
Midfield : Abu Agla Abdullah – Salah Adel – Wali El Din Khader Bougba – Abdel Raouf Yaqoub – El Samani El Sawy – Ammar Tayfour.
