Stuttgart and Hoffenheim battle to sign English-Ghanaian winger Cameron Ashia
VfB Stuttgart and TSG Hoffenheim are reportedly among several European clubs monitoring young winger Cameron Ashia, who is currently playing for Huddersfield Town AFC.
The 21-year-old attacker has emerged as a surprise transfer target ahead of the summer window, with his relatively low valuation attracting widespread interest.
€580,000 release clause sparks transfer race
According to reports from the Daily Mail, Ashia could be available for around €580,000 despite being under contract until 2027.
That price tag has triggered interest not only from Bundesliga sides but also from clubs such as Celtic FC, Rangers FC, Fulham FC, and Southampton FC.
Limited minutes, big impact
Although Ashia has played just 644 minutes in League One this season, he has still managed to register three goals and three assists, underlining his efficiency in limited game time.
The right-footed winger is widely regarded as one of Huddersfield’s most promising young talents.
Bundesliga clubs are monitoring closely
Both Stuttgart and Hoffenheim are said to be seriously considering a move as they continue their strategy of investing in young, high-upside players from abroad.
With multiple clubs now in the race, Ashia could become one of the most competitive bargain transfers of the summer window.
